3. To Set Up

1. On the bottom of the device, press the tab on the
Battery Compartment Cover to remove it. Insert
three "AA" size batteries and then replace the cover.
NOTE: the batteries provided with this unit are carbon-
zinc but regular alkaline batteries may also be used.
2. You can as well use this unit with the included USB cable.
To do so, connect the USB cable to the USB jack and to
a standard USB port on a computer or other USB power
supply (adapter not included). Route the USB cord so
that it does not pose a trip hazard.
3. Place the device on a flat, steady, level surface in a dry
indoor location.
