INTENDED USE
The Universal Clutch Aligner Tool Set has been manufactured for a wide variety of vehicle models
such as Audi, Citroen, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Rover,
Saab, Toyota, Vauxhall, Volkswagen and Volvo. The Universal Clutch Aligner Set greatly facilitates
the centring of the clutch and consequently the mounting of the gearbox.
SAFETY INFORMATION
•
Tools need to be kept out of the hands of children. They are not toys. Keep them away from
children and pets.
•
Do not carelessly leave packing material unattended. The packing material could become a
dangerous toy for children.
•
These instructions are made available as a guideline and in no event replace service literature.
•
Always work according to manufacturer specifications and comply with the service information
of the vehicle manufacturer.
•
Make sure that all safety regulations are complied with.
•
Do not use the tool set if it is damaged.
•
Before commencing work, make sure that the battery is disconnected.
•
Always wear suitable clothing and no jewellery.
•
Make sure that when using a 2-post lift the vehicle is well balanced when it is raised. Otherwise
the vehicle can fall from the lift after disassembling the gearbox.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Select the appropriate clutch disc centring sleeve (1-8) for the internal diameter of the clutch disc
and slide onto the alignment adaptor bar. Make sure that the taper of the centring sleeve points
towards the threaded end of the adaptor bar.
2. Select the appropriate pilot bearing centring sleeve (9-16) and mount on the thread (1) of the
adaptor bar.
3. Slide the clutch disc onto the clutch disc centring sleeve.
4. Slide adaptor bar with clutch disc or pilot bearing centring sleeve into the pilot bearing. Attention:
Note the correct mounting position of the clutch disc. (Marking on flywheel side).
5. Mount automatic clutch. Note: When tightening the screws, make sure that the centring tool is
seated correctly.
6. Remove the tool.
