Test ing an RJ 11 cab le
Testing R J11 cables is sim ilar to R J45 cables.
An RJ11 cable can have 2, 4, or 6 conne ctions.
De pe nding on the num be r of conne ctions, the LEDs will light as
follows (provide d the cable is O K):
• 2 conne ctions: LED 3 - 4
• 4 conne ctions: LED 2 - 3 - 4 - 5
• 6 conne ctions: LED 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6.

Test ing a c oaxia l ca ble (B NC)
The de vice can te st 25 Ω, 50 Ω, and 75 Ω cables.
1.
C onne ct one e nd of the cable to the BNC conne ctor.
2.
Attach a suitable te rminator to the othe r e nd of the cable .
3.
Press the Test button.
The LED corresponding to the e rror lights up.
Results
• SHOR T: short circuit
• CO NNEC TED: cable is O K.
• NO N-PAR ALLEL: crossed conne ction.
• NO CO NNEC TIO N: cable has no te rm inator or is de fe ctive .
