Precautions and safety instructions
Caution! Do not use the cushion above 2400m (8000 ft) ASL (above sea
!
level).
Caution! Do not use or leave the cushion close to a naked flame or a high
!
temperature heat source.
Caution! Do not steam clean or autoclave the cushion. The cushion cannot
!
withstand excessive heat or pressure. When the given cleaning instructions are not
followed, it is very likely that the cushion will age more rapid.
Caution! In case of soiling with body fluids, and when transferring the cushion to
!
another user, the cushion must be disinfected to avoid cross contamination.

Assembly
Checking the cushion size (see drawing
Attention! Together with your therapist or technical advisor, make sure the cushion
!
fits the dimensions of your body and your wheelchair.
Caution! Make sure the cushion cannot interfere with the wheel spokes.

• Make sure that width (A) and depth (B) of the wheelchair seat and the Active
match.

• Completely open the zipper at the front of the cover.
• Place the foam block in the cover, the sloping side pointing to the back of the
cushion and the contoured side on top.
• Close the zipper. Make sure you do not damage the foam block.
Adjusting the number of SmartCells
The number of SmartCells
necessary this number can be increased or decreased. The standard filling grade is
stated on the article label, on the inside of the cushion cover.
• Open the liner's zipper and add or remove the desired number of SmartCells
• Close the zipper. Make sure that you do not damage the SmartCellsTM.

• Place the liners in the cover. Make sure you place the correct liner in each
compartment. The liner's label states where it should be placed.
