ROTATING MIXER MR2L

■ The rotating agitation unit allows simultaneous reception of 2 litre
bottles (dimensions: Ø 110 in 120 mm, length to collar of bottle -
200 mm). The agitation movement is assured by 2 micro-reducing
motors, 220 V mono phase, each controlled by a 60' timer. The
movement of each agitator is thus independent.
■ Connect the mixer to a 220 V outlet. To begin rotation turn the
handle of the timer clockwise to the desired time (ex: 15 or 30 min.)
indicated on the dial. The mixer stops automatically at the end of
the time chosen.
The instrument as furnished comprises:
❏ 1 plastic bottle of 2 litres with screw-fitted lid.
❏ 1 helicoid screw with one thread, reference B.
■ Put 500 g of cleaned wheat with known moisture content in the
plastic bottle.
■ Calculate, following the initial moisture content, the necessary
quantity of H
nature of the grains, the level of 16.5 or 17.5 % (for this calculation
refer to appendix 1 and appendix 2). With the bottle positioned
vertically, add the quantity required of water, using a pipette of 50 ml
per mark, graduated in 1/10, taking care to distribute evenly this
amount of water over the entire surface of grains.
■ Insert the screw B, and with a twisting movement make it
penetrate until closing can be achieved by screwing, bottle screw.
■ Put the bottle on the agitator.
■ Set the timer to 30 minutes.
■ At the end of 30 minutes, remove the screw and re-close the
bottle and allow it sit upright at laboratory temperature (18 - 22°C,
64°F - 72°F) for the necessary time.
■ To prepare wheat for milling, the apparatus assures a
homogeneous deposition of water into the mass of the grains. It
was conceived to permit serial operations, executed without
unnecessary lengths of time spent.
■ A rotating mixer equipped with 2 bottles allows following a
cadence of millings with the MOULIN CHOPIN-DUBOIS, which is
about 4 millings per hour.
