4
Connecting and Operating
Ground short circuit and fire hazard
•
Do not connect USB devices, which are already connected to
the power inverter, parallely back by another interface of the car!
•
Use only the supplied connection cables.
•
Never place the power inverter close to flammable materials or to
places where flammable gases may develop.
•
Make sure that the power inverter is switched off before you start
connecting.
1.
Compare the specifications of all used devices to ensure compati-
bility
2.
Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.
3.
Connect the Power Inverter dependent on preferred use first over
the minus (7) and then over the positive pole (8) either
3.1 to the DC cable in right polarity for operating on car sockets or
3.2 to the battery clip cable in right polarity for direct operating on
the car battery.
4.
Make sure that the screw posts of the negative and positive poles
are tightened tightly after fastening the selected connection cable
through the eyelets.
5.
Connect the respective cable now to the voltage source either
5.1 to an easily accessible 12V car socket when using the DC
cable or
5.2 to the battery pins when using the battery clip cable.
6.
Connect your household electric device to the SAFETY socket.
Therefore, attend to the maximum power of 150W. Heat and coldness
generating products normally have a too high energy consumption for
this product.
7.
Connect your USB device to the USB Output.
Therefore, attend to the maximum current of 1200mA
8.
Switch the ON/OFF switch to ON (-).
9.
Make sure, the operating LED (4) is shining.
For some car types you have to switch on ignition.
10. Switch the ON/OFF switch to OFF (o) after use and disconnect all
cable connections.
5
Changing the Fuse
Risk of overloading and fire
•
Use a fuse in original strength! Never use stronger fuses. See also
chapter 2.4 "Specifications".
1.
Unplug the 12V car plug and disconnect all cable connections.
2.
Unplug the fuses off the devices back side.
3.
Plug in a new and identical fuses.
5
