Before initial use, make sure the antenna is completely pulled out. Also, make sure the mains current deliv-
ered by your household outlets corresponds to those indicated in this manual and on the device. Connect
to a household mains outlet.
Please note: The display has a auto-dimm function. After any button is pressed, the display lights up for a
few seconds before turning dim again.
Press Standby to power the device on. The radio automatically tunes in the radio station last listened to.
Press Standby again to switch off.
When your radio is switched on for the first time, pressing the SCAN button will scan all usable stations and
store them in alphanumerical order. The initial scan will take a few minutes. After the scan, the number of
stations found will be displayed, and the radio will play the first station in the sequence.
Note: If no stations are found, switch the radio off and move it to a location with a stronger signal. When
you switch the radio back on it will automatically repeat the scan process.
Automatic clock setting:
The clock on your radio is automatically set from the time signal broadcast with DAB radio stations.
Manual clock setting:
If DAB reception is not available in your area, you can set the time manually via the menu as follows -
1. Press and hold the INFO/MENU button. Set Time/Date is displayed.
2. Press the ENTER button. Set time will be displayed, the hour digits will flash.
3. Press the PREV or NEXT buttons to set the hour correctly.
4. Press the ENTER button.
5. Repeat the last two steps to set the minutes, then the date.
NOTE: Manual time and date settings will be automatically updated if the radio receives a DAB broad-
cast.
NOTE: If the radio is disconnected or there is a power loss, time and date settings will be lost until next
time a DAB radio is tuned or the clock is manually set.
