CLEANING, MAINTAINING AND TRANSPORTING YOUR DEEP
FREEZE
THAWING OPERATION
As the appliance door is opened and closed many times, some frost
and ice deposit may appear on the inner surfaces of the appliance.
If you do not open the door frequently and preserve food in sealed
packages, those frost and ice deposit will appear much slower. Such
frost and ice deposit will affect the efficiency of your appliance. If the
thickness of ice is over 2-3 mm, a defrosting operation should be per-
formed.
Follow the following instructions for defrosting.
1. Turn the product off and unplug from mains.
2. Empty your appliance.
3. Open the appliance door and keep it open to melt ice in it.
4. After thawing is completed, clean and dry inside the appliance
with a clean cotton cloth.
5. Plug your product and position it to max and operate in this posi-
tion for at least three (3) hours with no load.
6. Place your food in the deep freeze.
WARNING! Do not use any material or metallic tool that are not rec-
ommended by the manufacturer during defrosting. You may damage
the cooling parts. Do not use any object except ice scraping apparatus
provided with your product to scrape ice off. Otherwise, use of sharp,
pointed and metallic objects may damage the inner surface of your
deep freeze. This kind of improper use may also cause gas leakage.
Never pour water or any other liquid to melt ice in the deep freeze, and
never clean by using a steamy cleaning device. This may give damage
to your appliance or cause electric shock. Do not use any heater (elec-
tric stove, heater, etc.) to make defrosting quicker. This kind of heat-
ers may give damage to the plastic assembly of the appliance. When
placing frozen, bony food or rigidly coated material into the appliance,
ensure that the inner surface of the appliance is not damaged.
