7.0 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

7.1 Eyepieces and auxiliary objectives
With the standard equipment is included a pair of l0x eyepieces. There are also 15x and 20x eyepie-
ces available as optional accessories.
To change the eyepieces, remove the original eyepieces and replace with the new pair.
The standard objective is 1x and as optional accessories there are 0,5x, 1,5x, and 2x additional objec-
tives. An additional objective can be needed to obtain a specific magnification or a different working
distance.
The additional objective is mounted simply by screwing it onto the stereo-head. The height of the
microscope has to be re-adjusted as the working distance is changed when additional objective is
used.
7.2 Dark field condenser
The dark field condenser has to be used with transmitted light system. By putting this accessory onto
the transmitted light outlet (removing the frosted glass or stage plate), it creates the dark field effect.
It is especially useful in jewellery or gem study and special techniques in biomedical applications.
7.3 Photo/Video adapter
This accessory, mounted on the trinocular port, allows a reflex camera of any brand to be used on the
microscope in order to capture photos. T2 ring, specific to each model of camera, must be inserted
into the adapter before mounting it on the camera. T2 ring can be purchased in any photocamera
store.
7.4 "C-mount" adapter
This accessory, mounted on the trinocular port, allows a digital or analog camera to be used on the
microscope in order to capture photos. The camera must have a C-mount or CS-mount connection
type.
