Fig 6
At the lower spindle speeds and at
smaller tool diameters an increased
risk of workpiece kickback exists.
The maximum permissible speed
-1
(rpm, /min, min
) marked on each
tool may never be exceeded.
Router bits may only be operated in
the highest spindle speed (10000
rpm).
The speed is set by changing the V-
belt location on the pulleys (Fig 7).
Fig 7
Speed range:
4000, 6000, 8000, 10000 RPM
The chosen spindle speed can be
seen on the viewing window.
7.2 Arbor installation
The arbour is mounted to the spindle
with the draw bar and nut. Use the
following procedure to install the
arbour. Reverse the order to remove
the arbour.
Disconnect the machine from the
power source (pull mains plug).
Open the cabinet door and engage the
spindle rotation lock (R, Fig 8)
....located above the spindle pulley.
Fig 8
Remove all table insert rings
Clean the arbour shank and bore (T,
Fig 9).
Fig 9
Place the arbour into the spindle and
thread arbor and arbour nut together
onto the spindle.
Slightly tighten the arbour nut using
the supplied spanner (U, Fig 10).
Fig 10
Place the draw bar (S, Fig 8) into
the bottom of the spindle and tighten
it with the supplied spanner.
Firmly tighten the arbour nut using
the supplied spanner .

Disengage the spindle rotation lock.
Connect the machine to the power
source.
Start the shaper cautiously.
7.3 Collet installation
Disconnect the machine from the
power source.
Open the cabinet door and engage the
spindle rotation lock (R, Fig 8).
Remove the arbor ( see chapter 7.2)
Install the collet with nut
(Q, Fig 11).
Fig 11
Collets supplied with the machine:
- Collet Ø 8 mm
- Collet Ø 12 mm.
To reduce the danger of kick-back and
injury.
Only cutting tools marked "MAN" and
conforming EN 847-1 respectively
EN 847-2 may be used.
Router bits must be clamped on a
shaft length of minimum 20mm.
Tighten the nut (Q).
Cover the clearance zone around the
cutter with table insert rings (A, Fig
13).
Attention:
At the lower spindle speeds and at
smaller tool diameters an increased
risk of workpiece kickback exists.
Router bits may only be operated in
the highest spindle speed (10000
rpm).
Disengage the spindle rotation lock.
Set the fence boards approx. 5mm
close to the cutter rotation.
Connect the machine to the power
source.
Start the shaper cautiously.
