HART Transmission

The RB223 is transparent for the transmission of the HART signal i.e. the
®
HART protocol can be transferred via the isolator.
®
The HART signal is a frequency-modulated signal in the kilohertz range
which is superimposed on the loop current from 4 to 20 mA. This makes it
®
possible to communicate with HART -enabled devices and to make addi-
tional settings or to read out device parameters in parallel with the loop cur-
rent.
