1 Correct use
The RW 1000 EQ has been designed for stir-
ring and mixing the following materials:
a) Low-viscosity materials such as paints and
lacquers, mortar and plaster, insulating,
jointsealing and levelling compounds, ce-
ment slurry and the like as well as
b) High viscosity materials such as adhe-
sives, glues, pastes, fi lling plaster, cement
plaster, fl oor toppings, quartz-fi lled epoxy
resins, bonding morar, concrete, etc.
The RW 1000 EQ stirrer is not suitable
for stirring and mixing foodstuffs.
The ventilating slots and fi ns complicate the
cleaning of motor and gear housings. This
means that the hygiene requirements ap-
plicable in the foodstuffs sector cannot be
met by the tool.
It is prohibited to use the RW
1000 EQ stirrer with easily fl am-
mable or explosive materials.
2 Before starting
2.1 General safety instructions
WARNING! Read all safety warnings
and all instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in elec-
tric shock, fi re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for
future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers
to your mains-operated (corded) power tool
or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
2.2 Machine-related safety instructions
• Before using the machine, check that the

correctly.
• Do not use with explosive materials!
2.3 Emission levels
Levels determined in accordance with EN
60 745 are typically:
Sound pressure level
Noise level
Measuring uncertainty allowance
Wear ear protection!
Overall vibration levels (vector sum for three
directions) measured in accordance with EN
60 745:
Vibration emission level
(3 directions):
Uncertainty
The emission values specified (vibration,
noise) were measured in accordance with
the test conditions stipulated in EN 60 745
and are intended for machine comparisons.
They are also used for making preliminary
estimates regarding vibration and noise loads
during operation.
The emission values specifi ed refer to the
main applications for which the power tool
is used. If the electric power tool is used
for other applications, with other tools or is
not maintained suffi ciently prior to opera-
tion, however, the vibration and noise load
may be higher when the tool is used. Take
into account any machine idling times and
downtimes to estimate these values more
accurately for a specifi ed time period. This
may signifi cantly reduce the load during the
machine operating period.
3 Electrical connection and commission-
ing
The supply voltage must agree with the volt-
age given on the rating plate.
See Fig. 3 for connection and disconnection
of the power cable.
Always switch the machine off before con-
necting or disconnecting the mains lead!
Switch (1.3) serves as an On/Off switch
(press = ON, release = OFF). It may be
latched with the locking knob on the side
(1.4) for continuous operation. Pressing the
switch again releases the lock.
4 Operation
In order to meet all the requirements of
heavy-duty industrial service, the RW 1000
EQ has been fi tted with a number of additional
features:
a) A protective ring (1.5) protects the motor
housing against extreme impacts.
b) A second hand-grip (1.1), which is in-
cluded with each stirrer, can be screwed
