Tools with the actuator left in the "ON" position when an unexpected air pressure loss occurs can start
unexpectedly when the air pressure is restored.
Release the actuator if an unexpected loss of air pressure occurs.
Unexpected tool starts can cause injury.
Tools with the actuator left in the "on" position can cause unexpected starts when the tool is connected to the
air supply.
Be sure actuator is off before hooking up air.
Unexpected starts can cause injury.
Sanders may coast for a short time after the trigger is released.
Be sure tool has come to a complete stop before setting it aside.
Sanders that do not come to a complete stop before setting aside can cause injury.
Backing pads that are worn, damaged, nicked, bent, warped or burred can cause the sanding disc to tear and
burst.
Do not use backing pads that are worn, damaged, nicked, bent, warped or burred.
Sanding pads that burst can cause injury.
Tools left connected to the air supply while making adjustments, changing accessories, or doing any
maintenance or service can start unexpectedly.
Always remove the tool from the air supply and activate the trigger to bleed the airline before making
adjustments, changing accessories, or doing any maintenance or service.

INTENDED USE
This tool is intended to be used with abrasive sanding discs for the fi nish sanding of materials such as wood, metal, fi berglass and
similar materials. If it is used for anything else, it is considered misuse, creates a hazard and may void the warranty.
AIR SUPPLY
The effi ciency and life of this tool depend on the proper supply of clean, dry air at a maximum of 90 PSI. The use of an airline fi lter,
pressure regulator, and lubricator is recommended. Before connecting to tools, blow out the airline to remove water and dirt that
may have accumulated.
HOSE AND HOSE CONNECTIONS
The air supply hose recommended is 3/8" (10mm) I.D. If an extension hose is necessary, use 1/2" (13mm) ID hose with couplings
not less than 3/8" (10mm) I.D. The tool inlet thread is 1/4" NPT.
LUBRICATION
For maximum performance and tool life, an airline lubricator, set to deliver 1 drop per minute. SIOUX No. 288 Air Motor Oil is
recommended. If an airline lubricator is not used, add 8 to 10 drops of air motor oil to the air inlet at the start of the day and run the
tool for 10-20 seconds.
Do not over lubricate because excess oil may contaminate the surface being sanded.
MAINTENANCE
Water, dust and other airline contaminants can cause rust and vane sticking. After long idle periods, fl ush the tool with a few drops
of oil and run for 10 seconds. This will help remove contaminants and reduce the formation of rust.
OPERATION
Speed of the tool may be adjusted by turning the regulator located near the air inlet.
Disconnect tool from air supply before installing or removing wheel or making any adjustments
INSTALLING BACKING PADS
Hold spindle nut with wrench.
Thread pad into spindle and tighten.
