Turning the Blank
• Mount the bushings and blanks according to
diagram B.
• Thread on the knurled nut and hand tighten to hold
all components in place.
• Slide the tailstock up snugly against the mandrel
shaft inserting the live center point into the mandrel
dimple, lock in place.
• Hand tighten the quill adjustment to firm up the
mandrel. (DO NOT overtighten, it could damage the
mandrel).
• Using sharp tools, turn the blank down close to the
bushing diameter. Turn the barrel (straight or to a
profile of your choice)
• Sand the blank down to be flush with the bushings
gradually increasing the sandpaper grits.
• Finish the barrel with your choice of polish. Allow
sufficient time for the polish to cure.

Assembly
• Layout parts according to diagram A.
• Press clip assembly into the smaller diameter of the
upper barrel (shorter). Slide decor ring onto magnetic
band.
• Insert and press the magnetic band into the
opposite end of the upper barrel.
• Insert each coupler into the ends of the lower
barrel. Press in.
• Screw in the lower cap into either end of the lower
barrel.
• For Rollerball Pen: Drop the spring. Wide end in first
into the opening at the lower barrel. Remove the tip
protector and drop the refill in, blunt end first. Screw
the Roller tip into the coupler over the refill tip.
• For Fountain Pen: Attach either the ink cartridge or
the refill pump into the back end of the nib. Screw
into the coupler at the lower barrel. To use the pump
you will need a ink bottle. Turn the knob counter
clockwise until the piston inside the pump is at the
bottom. Insert the nib into the bottle. Turn the knob
clockwise. The ink will be drawn into the container of
the pump.
• For either pen, engage the ends of the pen. The
magnet closure will keep the pen closed. When
writing, the cap will post over the lower barrel.

Tournage des carrelets
• Installez les bagues et les carrelets sur le mandrin comme l'illustre le
diagramme B.
• Vissez l'écrou moleté et serrez-le à la main pour tenir toutes les pièces en
place.
• Appuyez la poupée fixe fermement contre la tige du mandrin en insérant
la pointe vive dans la cavité au bout du mandrin; verrouillez en position.
• Serrez à la main le réglage du fourreau pour fixer fermement le mandrin
(NE PAS serrer avec trop de force, car cela risque d'endommager le
mandrin.)
• À l'aide d'outils affûtés, tournez les carrelets jusqu'à ce que leur diamètre
approche de celui des bagues. Vous pouvez leur donner une forme droite
ou la silhouette de votre choix.
• Poncez les carrelets jusqu'à égalité avec les bagues en augmentant
progressivement le grain du papier sablé.
• Appliquez le produit de polissage de votre choix sur les barillets tournés et
laissez sécher. Veuillez consulter les instructions de polissage.
Assemblage
• Disposez les pièces comme l'illustre le diagramme A.
• Insérez l'assemblage de la pointe dans l'extrémité étroite du barillet
supérieur (court). Glissez l'anneau décoratif sur la bague aimantée.
• Insérez et enfoncez la bague aimantée dans l'autre extrémité du barillet
supérieur.
• Insérez chaque coupleur dans les extrémités du barillet inférieur. Poussez
à fond.
• Vissez le capuchon inférieur dans une des extrémités du barillet inférieur.
• Stylo à bille roulante : Laissez tomber le ressort, l'extrémité large en
premier, dans l'orifice du barillet inférieur. Retirez le protecteur de la pointe
et laissez tomber la recharge dans le barillet inférieur, le côté épointé en
premier. Vissez la pointe du stylo à bille roulante dans le coupleur, sur la
pointe de la recharge.
• Stylo-plume : Fixez la cartouche d'encre ou la pompe rechargeable dans la
partie arrière de la plume. Vissez cet assemblage dans le coupleur du
barillet inférieur. Avec la pompe, vous aurez besoin d'un flacon d'encre.
Tournez le bouton dans le sens antihoraire jusqu'à ce que le piston à
l'intérieur de la pompe soit entièrement déployé. Trempez la plume dans
l'encrier. Tournez le bouton dans le sens horaire. L'encre sera aspirée dans
le réservoir de la pompe.
• Assemblez les deux parties du stylo (qu'il s'agisse du stylo à bille roulante
ou du stylo-plume). Le fermoir aimanté permet de garder le stylo fermé.
Pendant que vous écrivez, le capuchon se fixe au bout du barillet inférieur.
