Using Workpiece Clamp
This clamp easily secures a workpiece to the base.
1. Tilt quick release lever 23 up to release work-
piece clamp 15 (Fig. 12).
2. Pull the workpiece clamp 15 back.
3. Place the workpiece W between the fence 21
and the clamp face 15A.
4. Turn the quick release lever 23 back down. Ro-
tate the clamp handle 15B clockwise until the
workpiece is secure.
Long Workpiece Support
clamped down and properly supported from un-
derneath.
Sliding base extension 10 provides extra workpiece
support and is especially useful when cutting long
workpieces. To reposition the extension, simply un-
lock the base extension lock lever 11, reposition the
extension 10 and lock the lever 11 (Fig. 12). The lock
lever tightens by rotating clockwise (pulling up).

Additional Workpiece Support

Blocks – Long pieces need extra support. The
base height is 2 5/8" (66 mm). Cut two 2x4 pieces
to 2 5/8" in length and fasten together. Boards of
these thickness and height can be used to create
auxiliary support extensions for long workpieces.
Clamps – Other hold-down devices such as C-
clamps can be used to hold the workpiece firmly
against the table and the fence. Make sure the
clamps are clear of the cutting path.
