WARNING
A poor physical and/or psychological condition can have a negative impact on safety during normal use of the
rope, or in the event of an emergency. The rope must only be used by trained and/or competent individuals, or by
individuals that are directly supervised by someone that is trained and/or competent. Before and during use, you
should consider the steps you need to take for a safe and e ective rescue. Any modi cation or addition made to
the rope can only be done with the manufacturer's prior consent, and any repairs must be made in compliance with
the manufacturer's operating methods. The rope cannot be used beyond its limits, or in any situation for which it is
not intended. The rope can be used in a collective manner. It is important that someone be designated to ensure
of both proper maintenance and inspections. If you combine the rope with other equipment, make sure that they
are all compatible with each other. The implementation of a safety system must be limited to individual protection
systems (preventing falls) that bear the CE mark. For example: EN 341 descender, EN 363 fall stopping system, EN
12278 pulleys. These systems must be o cially approved to be used with this rope.
The rope must be discarded if: there is doubt regarding its safety, it has been used to prevent a fall. If you have
any doubts, consult with the person in charge of its periodic inspection. If this product is sold outside of this rope's
destination country, the retailer must supply the user guide as well as maintenance instructions, both of them written
in the language of the country of use.
USAGE
This product is a static rope designed for speleology, canyoning, and works involving ropes or great heights, as well
as for rescue or safety purposes. Its use must allow a user to move about, ascend or descend freely in accordance
with the conditions described below.
If a user is currently practicing free climbing, he or she must use a dynamic rope that complies with the EN 892
norm. For type B ropes, users must be aware that the performance level will be lower than that which is provided
by type A ropes; that greater care must be given to protect against abrasion, cuts, regular wear, etc..., and that
during use, users must take extra care to reduce the risks of a fall. Furthermore, type A ropes are better suited than
type B ropes for situations requiring access by rope or the securing of users to a work site. Prior to using the rope,
inspect its general condition visually and with your hands. Also, check its length and its labelling. In the event of an
emergency, you can skip veri cation of the rope if it is still in its original unopened packaging. During usage, avoid
contact with sharp edges or aggressive substances.
During quick descents, overheating above 215° can damage the cord.
The range of temperature that the product is designed to be used in is between approx. –35 °C and +55 °C.
Avoid letting the cord drag on the ground. Other hazards are able to a ect the rope's performance, such as active
chemical ingredients, cuts, abrasion, and pendular falls. Anchor points. In order to avoid excessive pressure and
back-and-forth movements during falls, anchor points must always be made vertically with regards to the climber
that needs to be secured. The fastening system between the anchor point and the climber must always be as tight as
possible. Make sure that there is no slack in the rope. Provide protection against sharp edges and other aws.
Even if you use shock absorbers for falls (EN 355 compliant), anchor points must be able to resist forces greater
than or equal to 10 kN. An anti-fall harness is the only body prehension device that can be used in a fall-prevention
system. Headroom: free room under the user. The free room under the user must be su cient so that he doesn't
hit an obstacle in the event of a fall. Speci c headroom calculations are detailed in the user guides of the other
components (energy absorbers, mobile anti-fall units, etc...). Caution, do not use this cord with any other item that
could pose a risk to a user's safety.
STORAGE, TRANSPORT
After usage, store the rope in a bag that protects against ultraviolet rays, humidity, chemicals, etc...
Whenever possible, use ventilated bags to evacuate excess humidity.
PERIODIC INSPECTIONS
In addition to systematic inspections before and after each use, you must make periodic inspections at least once
every 12 months. This frequency must be adapted according to the type and the intensity of usage.
Inspections must be performed by someone that is either trained by or recognised as being competent by the
French Touch Concept company, or by a quali ed distributor. Use a product life sheet so that the inspector can know the history
of the product. This sheet should be lled out after each utilisation. Inspection results must be logged into the safety
register. The following information should be recorded during each inspection: the product's reference number, the
brand or manufacturer, the series and serial number (ITN), the purchase date, the date of rst use, the inspection
date, the name of the inspector.
Inspection and rejection criteria: absence of a user guide, absence of labelling, abrasion, tears, traces of chemical
or aggressive products, burns, hernias, a ruptured core, variations in the diameter, wearing of the ends, variations
in length.

This list isn't exhaustive and must be adapted to your use of the product.
REJECTS
Immediately stop using the product if: the condition of the rope matches one of the reform criteria, the rope was
subject to great tension or a signi cant fall, you don't know the full history of its use, the product has gone beyond
its expiration date. Destroy any products that are rejected.
REPAIRS
Any alterations or repairs must be performed by the French Touch Concept company.
PRODUCT LIFE
Ropes have a potential life of 10 years from the date they are manufactured.
The actual life of a product has ended when it quali es for rejection (see diagrams).
The following are factors that can in uence the actual life of a product: intensity, frequency of use, usage
environment, the user's competence, maintenance, storage, etc...
MARKING
In compliance with the norm, the cord must feature labelling on each end (see Labelling diagram). In addition, an
interior tag carries the manufacturer's name, the norm and the type, as well as the rope's year and the materials
which it is made with. Any cut rope must feature this labelling at each end.
Prior to using the product: read and understand the user guide, obtain product training,
and know how the product works as well as what its limits and risks are.

Las malas condiciones físicas o psíquicas pueden in uir negativamente para realizar una utilización normal de la cuerda o en
caso de emergencia. La cuerda debe ser utilizada exclusivamente por personas que hayan recibido una formación y/o sean
competentes o por personas directamente supervisadas por una persona con formación y/o competente. Antes y durante la
utilización, es conveniente considerar las medidas que se deben adoptar para garantizar un salvamento seguro y e caz. No
se puede realizar ninguna modi cación o añadido en la cuerda sin el acuerdo previo del fabricante; además las reparaciones
se deben efectuar siguiendo las instrucciones del fabricante. No se puede utilizar la cuerda fuera de los límites previstos o en
situaciones que no sean aquellas para las que está prevista. Se puede utilizar la cuerda colectivamente, pero es importante
nombrar a una persona responsable de su mantenimiento y revisión. Si combina la cuerda con otros equipos, asegúrese de que
sean compatibles entre sí. La utilización de un sistema de seguridad se debe limitar a los equipos de protección individual contra
las caídas en altura que lleven la marca CE. Por ejemplo: dispositivo de descenso EN 341, sistema de parada de caídas EN
363, poleas EN 12278. Estos sistemas deben estar homologados para ser utilizados con cuerda.
Se deberá tirar la cuerda si: hay duda sobre su seguridad, si se ha utilizado para parar una caída. En caso de duda, solicite
autorización a la persona responsable de su revisión periódica. Si se revende el producto fuera del país de destino de esta
cuerdo, es necesario que el revendedor incluya el manual de instrucciones y las instrucciones de mantenimiento en el idioma del
país de utilización.
UTILIZACIÓN
Este producto es una cuerda estática destinada a la práctica de la espeleología, el canyoning, trabajos con cuerda o a gran
altura e intervenciones de emergencia o de seguridad. Su utilización debe permitir desplazar, avanzar o descender a una
persona respetando las condiciones siguientes.
Si el usuario está haciendo escalada libre, deberá utilizar una cuerda dinámica conforme con la norma EN 892. Para el tipo
B, conviene que los usuarios sean conscientes de que el nivel de rendimiento será inferior a aquel de las cuerdas de tipo A.
Por lo tanto, deberá tenerse más cuidado con la protección contra la abrasión, cortes, desgaste normal, etc. y, en el momento
de su uso, se deberá tener mucho cuidado en reducir las posibilidades de caída. Asimismo, las cuerdas de tipo A están más
adaptadas que las cuerdas de tipo B para ser utilizadas para los accesos por cuerda o para el mantenimiento en el puesto
laboral. Antes de utilizarla, comprobar visual y táctilmente el estado general de la cuerda, su longitud y su etiquetado. Puede
evitar esta comprobación si la cuerda está preembalada y sellada para ser utilizada en caso de emergencia. Durante la
utilización, evitar el contacto con aristas vivas o sustancias agresivas. En descensos rápidos se pueden producir recalentamientos
superiores a 215° que pueden deteriorar la cuerda. La temperatura de utilización permanente del
producto se sitúa entre -35 °C y +55 °C. Evitar dejar la cuerda al sol. Existen otros peligros que pueden afectar al rendimiento
de la cuerda, como los activos químicos, los cortes, la abrasión y la caída perpendicular. Punto de anclaje. Para evitar tensiones
elevadas y movimientos de vaivén en caso de caída, los puntos de anclaje se deben efectuar siempre en vertical con respecto
a la persona a la que se desea asegurar. El medio de sujeción entre el punto de anclaje y la persona a la que se asegura debe
estar lo más tenso posible. Tener cuidado de que la cuerda no quede oja. Proteger las aristas vivas y rebabas. Aunque utilice
amortiguadores de caída (según EN 355), los puntos de anclaje debe resistir fuerzas de al menos 10 kN. El arnés anticaídas es
el único dispositivo de sujeción del cuerpo que está permitido utilizar con un sistema de parada de caídas. Altura libre: altura
libre bajo el usuario La altura libre bajo el usuario debe ser su ciente para que no choque con obstáculos en caso de caída. En
los manuales técnicos de los demás componentes (absorbedores de energía, anticaída móvil) se detalla el modo para calcular
la altura libre. Cuidado: no utilizar esta cuerda con otro artículo que pueda resultar nocivo para la seguridad del usuario.
ALMACENAJE, TRANSPORTE
Después de utilizarla, guarde la cuerda en una bolsa para protegerla de los UV, la humedad, los productos químicos, etc. Utilice
preferentemente bolsas perforadas para que salga el exceso de humedad.
REVISIÓN PERIÓDICA
Además de las revisiones sistemáticas antes y después de usarla, es necesario realizar revisiones periódicas cada 12 meses
como mínimo. Esta frencuencia se debe adaptar en función del tipo y la intensidad de utilización.
La revisión la debe efectuar una persona reconocida competente y/o formada por la empresa French Touch Concept o por un distribuidor
habilitado. Utilice una cha del producto que permita al revisor conocer el historial del producto. La cha se deberá
cumplimentar en cada revisión. Se deberán anotar el registro de seguridad los resultados de la revisión. Las informaciones que
se deben anotar en cada revisión son las siguientes: la referencia del producto, la marca o el fabricante, el número de serie e
individual (ITN), la fecha de compra, la fecha de utilización, la fecha de revisión y el nombre del revisor.
Los criterios de revisión y de eliminación son: falta del manual, falta de la etiqueta, abrasión, desgarro, señales de productos
químicos o agresivos, quemadura, hernia, rotura del alma, variación del diámetro, desgaste de las terminaciones y variación
de la longitud.
Esta lista no es exhaustiva y se debe adaptar según el uso que se haga de la cuerda.
ELIMINACIÓN
Deje inmediatamente de utilizar el producto si: el estado de la cuerda corresponde a un criterio de reforma, la cuerda ha sufrido
esfuerzos importantes o una caída importante, no tiene el historial completo de su utilización o se ha rebasado su fecha de
caducidad. Destruya los productos desechados.
REPARACIONES
Cualquier transformación o reparación deberá ser efectuada por la sociedad French Touch Concept.
VIDA ÚTIL
La vida útil potencial de las cuerdas French Touch Concept puede ser de 10 años a partir de la fecha de fabricación.
La vida útil real de un producto se produce cuando cumple alguna de las causas de eliminación (ver esquema).
Factores que in uyen en la duración real del producto: intensidad, frecuencia y entorno de utilización, competencia del usuario,
mantenimiento, almacenaje, etc.
MARCAJE
De acuerdo con la norma, la cuerda deberá contar con una etiqueta en cada extremidad (ver esquema Etiquetado).Asimismo,
una tira interna indica el nombre del fabricante, la norma y el tipo, al igual que el año y los materiales de constitución de la
cuerda.Cualquier cuerda cortada debe contar con este marcaje en cada una de sus extremidades.
Antes de utilizarlo, se debe leer y comprender el manual, haber realizado una formación sobre el producto,
y conocer los usos, limitaciones y riesgos del producto.
