FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question: What will happen if I connect the mask cuff to the humidifi er, and the
humidifi er cuff to the mask?
Answer: The ComfortTube System works exactly as if the tube was connected
correctly (mask cuff to mask and humidifi er cuff to humidifi er). However,
for safety reasons and to ensure maximum comfort, connect the tube as
described on page 10.
Question: Can I use the tube without a power supply?
Answer: Yes, the tube will then works like a standard tube for respiratory therapy
devices. Respiratory air condensation can however form in the tube.
Question: When do I have to replace the tube?
Answer: The tube must not be used for longer than 12 months. If the tube is dama-
ged or a leak or malfunction occurs, then the tube should be replaced
immediately.
Question: Which humidifi er or fl ow generator can I use the ComfortTube System
with?
Answer: The cuffs of the ComfortTube and the adapter have the same diameter as
standard tubes for respiratory therapy systems. Therefore, you can use
the tube/adapter with all humidifi ers that are intended for the connection
of a standard tube.
