any component is damaged.

Do not repair any damaged or faulty components.

Do not crush or apply severe physical stress on
any component of the system.

Unit must be mounted away from vibration,
impacts, water and corrosive gases.

Do not operate above rated temperature value.
•
Fasten power connection using approved
methods only.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Description
SLCBLUC-GF is a plug-in, ground-fault protected power connection kit suitable for use with 120V SLCBL series self-
regulating heating cables. This kit ensures compliance with NEC and CEC requirements for ground-fault protection of
equipment. It does not protect people against the hazards of shock. The kit includes materials for one ground-fault
protected power connection. Do not use this kit with aluminum feed wires.
Applications
Use the SLCBLUC-GF kit with the following heating cables: SLCBL-B, SLCBL-BP and SLCBL-BF. SLCBL-B cable is
designed for pipe freeze protection in dry locations. SLCBL-BP cable is designed for both wet and dry locations, as well
as for roof and gutter de-icing. SLCBL-BF cable is designed for both wet and dry locations, as well as for strong chemical
environments. The cable type is printed on the outer jacket of the cable.
Additional Materials Required
Grounded, UL Listed 15-amp, 120-volt receptacle (Receptacle must be approved for wet locations if exposed to weather).
Additional cable ties may be required for roof and gutter applications.
Your application may require additional accessories: for example application tape for pipe applications; SLCBL-RCLIP10/
SLCBLRCLIP50 roof clips and/or SLCBL-RDOWN1 downspout hangers for roof and gutter de-icing applications.
Tools Required
Crimp tools, Utility Knife, Needle Nose Pliers, Scissors,
Cutter, Heat Gun.
