TO ADJUST THE POCKET CUT
Alignment of the pocket cut to the drilled pilot hole and the distance between the
end of the pocket and the edge of the material were both adjusted to nominal
specifications at the factory. These normally require no further adjustment, but
both can be "fine tuned" to meet your specific needs.
ALIGNMENT OF POCKET TO PILOT HOLE:
1.
Tilt the tool onto its back (Fig. 23).

Cut a piece of scrap material to approximately 4" by 4".
3.
Lift the machine operating lever (A) Fig. 23, and insert the piece of scrap
wood (Fig. 23).
4.
Determine the direction (left or right, as viewed in Fig. 24), and the amount of
pocket movement required to align pocket with pilot hole.
5.
Locate the adjusting screw (A) Fig. 25 by reaching into the bottom of the tool
and locating the screw by "feel" (Fig. 26).
