Since accessories other than those offered by Porter-Cable•Delta have not been tested with
this product, use of such accessories could be hazardous. For safest operation, only Porter-Cable•Delta
recommended accessories should be used with this product.
Do not use a "wobble" dado blade, or a dado blade larger than 6" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTING A FEATHERBOARD
Featherboards are used to keep the work in contact with the fence and table and help prevent kickback. Follow the
dimensions in Fig. 55 to make a featherboard. Use wood that is straight and free of knots and cracks. Clamp the
featherboard to the fence and the table so that the leading edge of the featherboard can support the workpiece until
the cut is complete. Use a featherboard for all non-through-sawing operations with the guard and spreader assembly
removed (see Fig. 56). Always replace the guard and spreader assembly when the non-thru-sawing operation is
complete.
