ADJUSTING THE TABLE INSERT
Place a straight edge (B) across the table at both ends
of the table insert (Fig. 20) to see if the table insert (A) is
level with the table. If not, adjust it by turning the four
screws (C) as needed.
ADJUSTING THE 0° AND 45° POSITIVE STOPS
Your saw is equipped with positive stops for rapid and accurate positioning of the saw blade at 0° and 45° to the table. This
saw has the capability to go 2° beyond 0° and 45° (-2º to 47º). To adjust the positive stops
Disconnect the tool from the power source!
1. Remove the blade guard and spreader assembly (See the section "REMOVING THE BLADE GUARD/SPREADER
ASSEMBLY").
2. Raise the saw blade to its maximum height.

Loosen the blade-tilting lock handle, move the blade-tilting mechanism as far as possible to the left. Tighten the blade-
tilting lock handle.

Place a square (A) Fig. 21 on the table with one end of the square against the blade. See if the blade is at 90
If it is not, loosen the screw (B) a few turns and move the blade-tilting mechanism until the blade measures 90
table. Tighten the blade-tilting lock handle. Tighten the screw (B) until it bottoms.
NOTE: See if the tilt indicator points to the zero mark on the scale. If not, adjust it.

Loosen the blade-tilting lock handle. Move the blade-tilting mechanism as far as possible to the right and tighten the
blade-tilting lock handle.

Place a square (A) Fig. 22 on the table with one end of the square against the blade. See if the blade is 45
not, loosen the screw (C) a few turns and move the blade-tilting mechanism until the blade is at 45
the blade-tilting lock handle. Tighten the screw (C) until it bottoms.
