OWNERS MANUAL
This manual contains important information on the use and handling of the
product. Please read this manual before using your night light and keep it for
future reference. Check the unit for damage. Do not operate a damaged unit.
Safety instructions
Only use the night light and the mains adapter in dry locations and indoors. Do
not place the unit or the mains adapter in the rain or in water.
Only use a suitable and approved mains adapter. Handle the connecting cable
with care.
Leaking or damaged batteries might cause irritation when in contact with the skin; therefore,
use suitable protective gloves!
Remove the batteries from the battery compartment if you do not intend to use the device for
a prolonged period of time.

TECHNICAL FEATURES
Power supply: 3 x AA batteries (alkaline) 1,5 V (mignon cells) or: mains adapter
4,5 V, minimum 200 mA (inner pole of the plug negative)
Power consumption: 0,003 W with light off (sensor), 0,3W with light on
Battery life: approx. 3 months (alkaline batteries, typical use)
Light source: 3 white LEDs
Sensors: Passive infrared motion detector (PIR), photoelectric cell (light
sensor) (ca. < 12 Lux)
PIR range: approx. 5 m distance x 100° angle (fan-shaped) (at a height of
1-1,5 m)
Field of application: Use only in dry locations, protect unit from moisture and frost.
Operating temperature: 0° C – 50° C ; Optimal function at room temperature (20° C). Very
high or low temperatures can be detrimental to the function of the
night light, especially when battery operated.
Where to locate
Locate the unit at a place where most of the movements are transverse to the PIR. These mo-
vements can be detected more quickly than movements towards the PIR
(see figure 2). Optimal function is at a height of 1 – 1,5 metres. The night light can be placed
on a shelf or fixed to the wall. The PIR reacts to changes in temperature.
Do not place the night light near heaters or ventilating shafts.
Operating instructions
1. Turn switch to „OFF".
2. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment and insert 3 mignon batteries
(see figure 1).
3. Turn switch to „ON". The light should go on.
4. Turn switch to „AUTO". Locate the unit at a dark place. After the warm-up time (40 se-
conds), the light will go on as soon as a movement is detected within the PIR range (yourself).
A photoelectric cell ensures that the night light is activated only at darkness. If
the location is too bright, the light will not go on. The light will stay on as long as
a movement is detected within the PIR range. After you leave the detection area,
the light will go off after approx. 20 seconds.
5. Once you have left the PIR range, the light will go off after approx. 20 seconds. The
night light is immediately operative again.
6. Turn the switch to „OFF" to switch the unit off.
To prolong battery life, switch the night light off when it is not used for a longer period of time.

Gebruiksaanwijzing
Deze gebruiksaanwijzing bevat belangrijke wenken m.b.t. ingebruikneming en
hantering. U dient deze gebruiksaanwijzing zorgvlding te bewaren voor latere
raadpleging!
Lekkende of beschadigde batterijen kunnen bij contact met de huid verwondigen
veroorzaken. In dergelijke gevallen dient u in ieder geval geschikte en bescher-
mende handschoenen te gebruiken. Haal de batterijen uit het toestel indien u het
nachtlicht voor een langere periode niet gebruikt.
Kenmerken
Makkelijk en veilig
Licht wanneer u het nodig heeft, precies daar waar u het nodig heeft – op donkere plaatsen
zoals trappehuizen, kelders, garages of tuinhuisjes. U hoeft niet naar de schakelaar te zoeken
– de ingebouwde passieve infrarood-bewegingsmelder reageert op lichaamswarmte
(of andere warmtebronnen b.v. auto's, dieren) en activeert de ingebouwde lamp zodra u in het
reactieveld komt.
Energiebesparend
Het licht blijft alleen aan zolang er beweging in het reactieveld is. Verlaat u dit veld, wordt het
licht na 20 seconden automatisch weer uitgeschakeld.
Een ingebouwde lichtsensor (fotocel) zorgt ervoor, dat hetlicht alleen bij duisternis aan gaat.
Makkelijk te installeren
Werkt op batterijen of een 4,5 Volt transformator (niet bij de levering inbegrepen) –
Eenvoudig ophangen of neerzetten!
