INSTALLATION
LOCATION SELECTION
•
Choose a clear, sunlit, outdoor location. The solar panel needs to receive at least 8 hours of direct
light per day. If the lamp is in the shade, the charge may not be enough and the duration of lighting
will be shorter at night.
•
Do not install the lamp in an over-lit area at night (next to a lamppost, for example). This may disrupt
its operation because of the difficulty to distinguish between day and night.
•
Depending on the time of year, weather conditions and the location of the solar module, charging
may take a few days before being able to use the lamp. Three to four days of charging in the sun
may be considered a good indication. In winter, the lighting duration is usually shorter (2 to 3 hours
of operation).
NOTE: The battery has been previously charged by the manufacturer. If the brightness of
the LED is low, the electric charge may have decreased during storage. Recharge the
lamp for a whole day to obtain better performance.
