USE
Please Note!
■
Do not place the device below kitch-
en wall units or similar cupboards. The
rising steam could cause damage to
them!
■
Always set up the device with a clear
space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and
clear space above it (at least 30 cm)
on a fl at, solid and heat-resistant
surface.
■
The device may only be operated in a
horizontal position, never on its side
or tilted.
■
The device must not be left un-
attended during operation!
■
In the interest of your own safety, in-
spect the device and the connecting
cable for damage each time before
you use it. Use the device only if it is
in working order.
Although the plates have a non-
stick coating, we still recommend
that you lightly grease them. Do
not use any cooking spray as it
can attack the non-stick coating!
1. Place the closed device on the
kitchen unit or another dry, clean and
heat-resistant work surface.
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable
and connect the device to a plug
socket. Make sure that the connect-
ing cable is not jammed between the
plates. The red operating lamp (2)
lights up.
3. Use the slide control to set the level
of browning you want. The green
heating lamp now also lights up. The
device heats.
When the green heating lamp goes
out, the device has reached operating
temperature.
4. In each case pour two to three table-
spoons of waffl e mixture into the
two moulds on the bottom plate (3).
14
Do not pour too much mixture into
the moulds so that the mixture is not
pushed out at the sides when the
device is closed.
5. Flip the device shut.
6. Keep the device closed for a few
minutes.
When the heating lamp goes out
and lights up again, this means
that the device is pausing the
heating process. This maintains a
constant temperature.
7. Remove the waffl es when they have
reached the level of cooking and
browning that you want.
Please Note: Use only heat-resistant
wooden or plastic utensils to remove
the waffl es.
8. After the device has been used,
disconnect it from the mains power
and allow it to cool before it is
cleaned.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■
The device is not dishwasher-safe.
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
Clean the device immediately after every
use to prevent the formation of germs.
Do not allow any food residues to dry on.
1. Make sure that the device has com-
pletely cooled down and has been
disconnected from the mains power!
2. Carefully remove any crumbs and
residues from the plates (3 + 5). Use a
soft brush to do this if necessary.
3. Wipe out and wipe down the housing
and the plates with a damp cloth. If
necessary, use a little detergent to
remove more intense soiling.
