device!).
Only ever use heat-resistant utensils
to remove the food. Keep metal
objects or other sharp objects away
from the device. These objects could
damage the non-stick coating of the
plates. We recommend the use of
heat-resistant kitchen utensils made
from wood or plastic.
Never spray cold water onto the
plates during or immediately after use
of the device. This could damage the
non-stick coating!
Switch off the device and pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket
if an error occurs during operation,
when there is a power cut or before
a thunderstorm.
Never pull or carry the device by the
connecting cable.
When you pull the mains plug out
of the plug socket, always pull on
the mains plug and never the mains
cable!
Protect the device from other heat
sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero tem-
peratures, persistent moisture, wet
conditions and impacts.
Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.

BEFORE INITIAL USE

There may still be some production
residues on the device. To avoid harmful
effects to your health, clean the device
thoroughly before you fi rst use it and
then heat it up for a few minutes. To do
this, follow the instructions in the "Clean-
ing and Storage" and "Use" chapters.
When the device is fi rst used,
production-related additives
(e.g. grease) may cause a small
amount of smoke and / or an
odour to be produced. This is
normal and not a device defect.
RECIPE FOR WAFFLE
MIXTURE
Ingredients:
125 g soft butter or margarine
250 g fl our
100 g sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
200 ml milk
3 eggs
Any icing sugar you may need for
sprinkling
Preparation:
1. Beat the eggs and the sugar into a
froth with a whisk.
2. Fold in the butter.
3. Add the fl our, the baking powder and
the milk and stir all the ingredients
together with a whisk to produce a
smooth mixture.
To make a particularly fl uffy mix-
ture, separate the eggs, beat the
egg white and fold the beaten
egg white under the mixture.
