Fault
Pump runs but does not
transport

Troubleshooting
Cause
Air in the pump
Suction area blocked
(only in manual mode) Water
level below the minimum water
level
Power supply interrupted
Thermal protection switch has
switched off the pump due to
over-heating
Dirt particles have got jammed
into the suction area
(only automatic mode) Electri-
cal conductivity of the fluid be-
ing transported is too low (for
e.g. distilled water); level sen-
sor does not switch.
Pump operation stopped by
sensor
Suction area blocked
The pumping capacity de-
pends on the flow height.
Remedy
Press the deaeration but-
ton or plug in/ disconnect
the mains plug of the pump
a few times till the fluid gets
sucked.
Pull out the mains plug and
clean the suction area
Immerse, whenever possi-
ble, the pump deeper into
the liquid or, in case of SCP
12000, proceed according
to instructions in the chap-
ter on flat suction.
Check fuses and electrical
connections
Pull out the mains plug, let
the pump cool down, clean
the suction area, prevent
dry running
Pull out the mains plug and
clean the suction area
Change to manual mode.
Check position of level sen-
sor
Pull out the mains plug and
clean the suction area
Keep max. flow height, see
technical data
