Base and Tent Assembly
1.
Remove ice shelter from packaging.
2.
Verify all components
3.
Locate front of base [A]. (There are four holes on each corner)
4.
Place corner bracket [B] over holes on front of base.
5.
Align holes and insert 1" bolt [C] through corner bracket [B]. Place washer [D] and nut [E] under base and
hand tighten. (Fig. II) Note: Do not completely tighten corner bracket bolts until all have been assembled
through the corner bracket. Washers not used on front holes.
6.
Repeat steps 4-5 for the other corner bracket [B].
7.
Using a 7/16" open-end wrench and a 7/16" deep well socket, tighten all bolts.
IV for steps 8-15
8.
Position bent pole [F] on outside of corner bracket with snap button facing toward the inside of base [A].
9.
Insert 1/4" Philips head bolt [G] through hole in bent pole [F], through pole bearing [H] and front bottom
corner of corner bracket [B].
10.
Place nut [E] on end of bolt and tighten. Do not overtighten.
11.
Repeat for other corner bracket [B].
12.
Position straight pole [I] on inside of corner bracket [B] with snap button facing toward the inside of base
[A].
13.
Insert 1/4" Elevator bolt [J] through one of the holes in corner bracket [B], through pole bearing [H], and
through straight pole [I].
14.
Place nut [E] on end of bolt and tighten. Do not overtighten. Poles need to pivot freely.
15.
Repeat steps 12-14 for remaining 5 straight poles [I].
16.
Place windbreak [K] on front of corner bracket [B] with hook facing in towards poles. Insert .75" bolt [L]
through round hole. Place nut [E] on end of bolt and tighten. (Fig. V) Do not overtighten.
17.
Repeat on other corner bracket [B].
18.
Note: Do not assemble U-frame [M] to bent pole [F].) Slide 3 U-frames [M] onto straight poles [I] until snap
button goes thru middle hole. (Fig. VI)
19.
Lay tent [N] under back edge of base [A], (opposite side from corner brackets) with the yellow Velcro straps
facing up and edge without yellow sleeves closest to the base [A]. (Fig. VI)
20. Starting with the yellow Velcro straps closest to the base, wrap the yellow Velcro straps around the bottom
U-frame [M]. Attach only the 3 yellow Velcro straps in the middle of tent [N]. Note: Yellow Velcro straps should be
on inside of tent after assembly. (Continued page 6)
