5. Safety Notes

The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with these
operating instructions. We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for property damage and personal injury caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases the guarantee/warranty will expire!
a) General Information
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product are prohibited for safety and approval
reasons. Furthermore, the guarantee/warranty will expire!
• This product is not a toy and not suitable for children. Children do not understand how dangerous electri-
cal devices can be. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• The product must not be operated by children or teens. This also applies regarding persons who are not
familiar with these operating instructions. Persons with limited physical or mental capacities must only
use the product if supervised and instructed by a person responsible for them.
• The product corresponds to protection type IPX4.
• The product is designed according to protection class I. Only a proper protective contact mains socket of
the public mains must be used as a voltage source (for the operating voltage of the water pump system
for home use, see chapter "Technical Data" and the designation on the rating plate).
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Handle the product with care; impacts, shock or fall even from low heights will damage it.
b) Site of setup, connection
• Install or operate the product in a way that it is out of reach of children.
• Connection and use of the product is only permissible if the product is operated by a leakage current
protection switch (FI-protection switch) with a nominal error current of <=30 mA.
If persons are present in a pool, swimming pond or garden pond, the water pump system for home use
must not be operated with the water in it.
In Austria, the product must only be installed and operated close to swimming pools and garden ponds
if a suitable ÖVE-tested safety separating transformer is switched in front of it in addition to the leakage
current protection switch.
Different provisions may apply for other countries.
• Place the water pump system for home use at a safe distance from the transport medium. The water
pump system for home use must not be set up and operated in or under water. It will be damaged by this;
there is danger to life from electric shock!
• There must not be any ambience temperatures around or below freezing (<0 °C) at the operating site.
The water in the water pump system for home use would freeze and the higher volume of ice would
destroy the water pump system for home use. Store the product dry and protected from frost in winter.
• Even though the water pump system for home use complies with IPX4, it must be operated in a location
protected against precipitation. Also protect the water pump system for home use from direct sunlight,
extreme temperatures, dust and dirt.
