ASSEMBLY
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug out of the socket.
DUST/CHIP EXTRACTION
Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coat-
f
ings, some wood types, minerals and metal can be
harmful to one's health. Touching or breathing-in
the dusts can cause allergic reactions and/or lead
to respiratory infections of the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are consid-
ered as carcinogenic, especially in connection with
wood-treatment additives (chromate, wood preser-
vative). Materials containing asbestos may only be
worked by specialists.
Use a dust extraction system suitable for the ma-
terial.
Provide good ventilation of the working place.
It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respi-
rator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country
for the materials to be worked.
Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace.
f
Dusts can easily ignite.
EXTERNAL DUST EXTRACTION
Mount a vacuum hose onto the extraction outlet.
Connect the vacuum hose with a vacuum cleaner.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the ma-
terial being worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially det-
rimental to health or carcinogenic, use a special
vacuum cleaner.
MOUNTING THE SANDER TO A WORKBENCH
Before attempting to use this sander, it should be
properly mounted to a workbench or stand
Position the sander on the workbench where you
f
intend to use it.
Mark the workbench through the mounting holes
f
located in the sander base. Drill holes in the work-
bench at the marks.
Use long bolts, spring washers and nuts (not sup-
f
plied), to secure the sander to the workbench as
shown.
MOUNTING THE TILTING WORK TABLE ASSEM-
BLY
Position table-support bracket so that the "pivot pin"
f
fits into the corresponding hole on the sander frame
and the radius slot aligns with the threaded hole in
the frame.
Place washer on threaded shaft of knob, insert
f
through radius slot, and tighten into threaded hole.
Adjust table to angle desired for sanding task.
f
To avoid trapping the workpiece or your fingers be-
f
tween the table and disc, adjust the position of the
table on it's mounting bracket to maintain a gap of
no more than 2 mm.
INSTALLING THE WORK SUPPORT
Position the backstop against the belt frame so that
f
the slot aligns with threaded hole in frame.
Secure the backstop to frame with 2 x socket head
f
screws, washers as shown. Do not overtighten.
The gap between the sanding belt and the back-
stop should be no more than 2mm.

remove the plug from the οutlet before
changing the accessories.

f
Remove sanding disc from disc plate. Sanding discs
f
are attached to the plate using a pressure sensitive
adhesive
Ensure the disc plate is clean.
