Setting Up and Connecting the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
■
Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the
technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after
connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■
Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent
and does not come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of
the device!).
■
Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising
steam could cause damage to them!
1. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, solid, fl at, heat-resistant and
splash-proof work surface. Ensure there is suffi cient clear space on all sides (at least
20 cm to the sides and 30 cm above).
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable and plug the mains plug into a plug socket. The
display (15) lights up and the time display fl ashes.

The display (15) switches off the illumination after around 60 seconds. The
time which is set (see "Time") is still visible even if the coff ee machine is in
stand-by mode.

The display lights up as soon as a button is pressed.
•
The display lighting goes out 60 seconds after the last button has been
pressed, unless the device is in operation.

The time is displayed in 24-hour mode
The timer of the coff ee machine is activated. The control lamp next to
the button Timer (23) lights up.
