n Use only the specified AC adapter.
n Always hold the AC adapter's cable connector by the connector when removing or inserting
it.
n Use an AC power source that does not also supply power to equipment that generates elec-
tromagnetic noise.
n Pulling on the AC power cord may damage it, cause a fire, electric shock, or break a wire.
n If a lightning storm is approaching, unplug the AC power cord from the electric outlet. A light-
ning strike may cause a fire or electric shock.
n Keep the AC power cord away from heat generating appliances. The insulation on the AC
power cord may melt and cause a fire or electric shock.
n If the printer is not going to be used for a long time, unplug the AC power cord from the elec-
tric outlet.
n Place the AC power cord so that people do not trip on it.
n Be sure to unplug the AC power cord when connecting the cable connector to the power
connector. If the AC power cord is left plugged into the electric outlet, the 24 V and GND ter-
minals of the cable connector may come into contact with the screw head or other metal
parts and cause a short circuit, resulting in malfunction of the AC adapter.
