Dieses Gerät darf nur durch einen Elektrofachmann ge-
öffnet und gemäß dem entsprechenden Schaltbild im
Gehäusedeckel / in der Bedienungsanleitung installiert
werden. Dabei sind die bestehenden Sicherheitsvorschrif-
ten zu beachten.
1. Anwendung
Zur Regelung oder Überwachung der Temperatur mittels
Fernfühler in der Klima- und Kältetechnik, z.B. in Verkaufs-
automaten, -vitrinen und -theken, in Wein- und Milch-
kühlern, in Aquarien, Terrarien Schwimmbädern, Fahrzeug-
kühlanlagen etc.
2. Einbaubedingungen
Zum Einbau in die Fronttafel oder Schaltschrank mit Norm-
ausschnitt (siehe Maßbild). Als Fühler wird der Typ 51 (PTC
990) verwendet, der je nach Anwendung in unterschiedli-
chen Versionen lieferbar ist. Eine Verlängerung des Fühlers
kann mit einem 2-adrigen abgeschirmten Kabel erfolgen,
wobei der Schirm einseitig mit auf die Klemme 7 anzu-
schließen ist. Parallelverlegung mit netzspannungsführen-
den Leitungen ist zu vermeiden.
3. Funktion
Die gewünschte Funktion „Heizen" oder „Kühlen" muss vor
der Montage an der Rückseite durch das Stecken von 2
Brücken gemäß Anschluss-Schaltbild gewählt werden. Im
Auslieferungszustand ist die Funktion „Heizen" gesetzt.
Ein Abgleich mehrerer Geräte aufeinander oder die Anpas-
sung an eine vorhandene Anzeige kann mit dem Potentio-
meter „Nullabgleich" an der linken Seite (siehe Gehäuse-
aufdruck) vorgenommen werden. Der eingestellte Sollwert
ist sowohl in der Funktion „Heizen" als auch in der Funktion
„Kühlen" der Einschaltwert. Der Ausschaltwert liegt bei der
Funktion „Heizen" um die eingestellte Hysterese höher, in
der Funktion Kühlen niedriger. Die Hysterese ist mittels
Schraubendreher an dem von der Frontplatte aus zugäng-
lichen Potentiometer einstellbar.
Das Gerät arbeitet in beiden Funktionsarten auf den
Arbeitskontakt (Klemme 4–5), bei Spannungsabfall, Fühler-
bruch oder Fühlerschluss fällt das Relais auf den Ruhekon-
takt (Klemme 4–3) zurück. Nichtangeschlossener Fühler
bzw. Fühlerbruch wird durch die Anzeige „1", kurzgeschlos-
sene Fühler durch die Anzeige „-150" gekennzeichnet.
Sollwerteinstellung: Am ITR 71.xxx Einstellung mit dem
Skalenknopf. Am JDI 1/10 durch Drücken der roten Taste
(Sollwert erscheint) und Einstellung des an der Frontplatte
zugänglichen „Soll"-Potentiometer. Das aus Siebensegment-
anzeigen bestehende Display zeigt ständig den Istwert an.

This device must not be opened by any person other than
an expert electrician only and be installed according to the
connection diagram shown in the housing cover / operating
instructions. When doing so, all pertinent safety regulations
currently operative and in force must be complied with and
adhered to.
1. Application
Used in combination with a remote sensor as temperature
controller in the air conditioning and refrigeration enginee-
ring sphere, e.g. for control or supervision of temperatures
in vending machines, showcases and sales counters, in
wine and milk coolers, in aquariums, terrariums, swimming
pools, vehicle cooling systems etc.
2. Installation requirements
For front panel installation or installation in switch cabinets
with standard cut-out (see simplified drawing). As for sen-
sor, the sensor type 51 (PTC 990 ) is applied which, depen-
ding on the corresponding application, is obtainable in
different versions. Extensions can be realised by means of
a shielded 2-wire cable. In any such case, one end of the
shielding must be connected to terminal "7". Avoid parallel
laying of sensor lines and mains supply cables.
3. Operation mode /function
Before installation, the requested operation mode, i.e. "heat-
ing" or "cooling", must be selected at the back side of the
device by plugging 2 wire links as shown in the connection
scheme. The device is supplied set for "heating" mode.
Several devices can be balanced or adapted to an existing
display by using the potentiometer provided for "zero bal-
ancing" that exists left hand (see housing imprint). Both in
"heating" and "cooling" mode the adjusted set value is
equivalent to the turn-on value. In "heating" mode, the turn-
off value is equivalent to a value increased by the adjusted
hysteresis and, if operated in "cooling" mode, the turn-off
value corresponds to a value reduced by the hysteresis
actually adjusted. The hysteresis can be set by means of a
potentiometer that can be accessed from the front plate. A
screw driver is needed for this purpose. In both modes, the
device makes contact (terminal 4–5). In the event of a volt-
age drop, a sensor breakdown or sensor short-circuit, the
relay switches over and breaks contact (terminal 4– 3). The
display shows "1" if a sensor breakdown has occurred and
"-150" if sensors have been short-circuited. With type ITR
71.xxx the set value setting can be effected by means of a
scale knob and with JDI 1/10 by pressing the red key (set
value appears) and by adjusting the "set point" poten-
tiometer that can be accessed from the front plate. The
7-segment display permanently shows the actual value.
