Tyre Pressure Control System
TPMS-8886
Item no. 1311719
Intended use
The intended use of the tire pressure monitoring system includes monitoring the tyre pressure and
tyre temperature in motor vehicles and displaying the measured data via a software application on a
mobile phone.
The cigarette lighter unit may only be connected to a 12 V/DC on-board power supply, with the nega-
tive terminal of the car battery connected to the body. It may only be installed and operated in vehicles
equipped with this type of on-board voltage supply.
The cigarette lighter unit should be protected from damp and wet conditions.
Any use, other than that described above, may lead to damage to this product and involves other risks,
such as short circuit, fire, electric shock.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of compa-
nies and products are the trademarks of the respective owners. All rights reserved.

The "Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety instructions
First, read the complete operating instructions carefully, as they contain important
information about the proper operation.
Damage due to not following these operating instructions will void the warranty! We
do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by im-
proper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty/guarantee
will be void in such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is
not permitted. Individual parts may be damaged and can therefore impair the function or
safety of the vehicle.
• Use 12 V direct current on-board power exclusively as the voltage source for the ciga-
rette lighter adapter. Never connect the product to a different power supply. Use only
batteries to supply the sensors with current.
• The system is intended only for additional monitoring of the tyre conditions; it does not
absolve the driver from practising due diligence. Make sure that driving safety is not
affected at any time.
• You should react immediately and stop when the system triggers an alarm. Continue
driving only after the problem has been reliably fixed.
• Check the tyre pressure at regular intervals with a suitable pressure gauge (e.g. at a
petrol station). The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages due to a faulty display.
• Check regularly that the sensors are screwed tightly onto the valves. To do this, spray
soap water over the valves with the sensors to detect a possible leak.
• Do not use damaged or inoperable sensors. This may lead to a loss of pressure in the
tyres.
• This product is not a toy; it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the
potential dangers involved when using electrical devices.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any questions arise that
are not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical service or
any other professional expert.

Version 03/15
Software installation
Depending on your mobile phone download the software app "Steel Mate TPMS" from the Google Play
Store or the Apple Store and install on your mobile phone.
Bluetooth pairing
(see section "Bluetooth pairing" in the original instructions in English)
(1) Insert the cigarette lighter adapter into the cigarette lighter of your vehicle.
(2) Switch on the ignition and press the button SET for 6 seconds until it beeps.
(3) Turn on Bluetooth search on your mobile phone and select the device "Steelmate- TPMS".
(4) The Bluetooth icon lights up on the cigarette lighter adapter after pairing has been successful.
Sensor installation
(see section "Sensor installation" in the original instructions in English)
(1) Unscrew the valve cap.
(2) Slide the dust proof cover supplied onto the valve stems.
(3) Screw the supplied lock nuts on the valve stems.
(4) Screw the sensors onto the tyre valves:
(5) Secure the lock nut to the sensor. Use the screw wrench provided for this purpose.
(6) Check air leakage by spraying some soapy water on the valve. Then slide the dust proof cover
Functional test after installation
(see section "Functional test after installation" in the original instructions in English)
(1) At speeds of more than 20 km/h, the software app shows the real time data of the tyres.
(2) The installation process was successful when the data off all four tyres is displayed on the software
Settings
The software app lets you set the desired limits and units for temperature and tyre pressure. To do this,
click the gear icon of the software app and select "Setting" in the software window on the top right.
When installing the sensors, pay attention that you do not damage the tyre valves
and their threads. The sensors must only be fastened hand-tight.
Lack of attention in traffic can lead to serious accidents. Hence, operating the tyre
pressure control system or the software app on your mobile phone must only be
done when stationary and when you are not distracted by traffic.
Start the engine on vehicles equipped with cigarette lighters that are supplied with power
continuously (that is, the cigarette lighter is working without the need to switch on the
ignition).
F.L. = front left / F.R. = front right / R.L. = rear left / R.R. = rear right
back towards the sensors.
We recommend rebalancing the tyres after the sensors have been installed, as the weight
of the sensors may affect the balance of the tyres.
app.
If data of one or more tyres is not displayed, the sensor or sensors must be recoded again
(see "Sensor coding" below in this manual).
The tyre pressure alarm is triggered when the tyre pressure is less than 75% or more
than 125% of the set pressure.
The temperature alarm is triggered when the set value is exceeded.
