ALTERNATE OPERATION
To turn off the flare without cycling through the light
pattern, press and hold the ON/OFF button for two
seconds. Two LEDs will flash five times and then turn off.
When ready to operate again, press the ON/OFF button
and it will return to the last flash pattern that selected
before turning off.
BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT
1.
Remove all three compression screws using the
included hex wrench and remove the top of the
flare. (See Figure 1)

2. Install two AA batteries making sure to align them
with the correct (+) & (–) placement, as indicated
inside the battery compartment. (See Figure 2)

3. Replace the top of the flare and firmly tighten all
three housing screws. If they are not tightened
enough the flare will not be waterproof.
NOTE: As an option to standard alkaline
batteries, AA rechargeable NiMH batteries
may be used.
