Important Remarks
Keep the following considerations in mind when selecting a mounting location for the camera :
a. the camera must never be aimed directly at the sun or any other bright light source. This results in a poor picture
and will eventually damage the electronics of the camera.
b. the camera will have to be positioned carefully when used in an environment with strong contrasts in luminous
intensity.
c. the best viewing angle is achieved by placing the camera in a position where it is looking down on the subject.
d. mount the camera close to the door monitored by this device or you won't understand what your visitors are
saying.
e. the camera is splash-proof and can therefore be used outdoors. However, as with all cameras of this type, it is not
waterproof. Consequently, it should only be used outdoors if its mounting location is sheltered.
3. Completing the installation
1. Once you have selected the best position for the camera, switch the camera off, and unplug the power lead from
the connector (mini jacks (7) & (8)).
2. Disconnect the camera from the ball joint by loosening the small silver screw. Mount the camera bracket at the
selected location : drill two holes and attach the mounting bracket to the wall using the supplied masonry plugs (9)
and fixing screws (9).
3. Orient the arm towards the point of interest. Carefully tighten the retaining screw on the bracket plate to secure
the ball joint.
4. Place the camera body onto the ball joint and carefully tighten the retaining screw on the camera until the latter is
rigidly fixed and facing in the right direction. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREW.
5. Run the camera cable back to the TV/VCR. Any holes you have to drill should be at least 14mm in diameter to
allow the connectors to pass.
6. Reconnect the mini-DIN plugs (4) & (5).
7. Reconnect the SCART plug(6) to the TV or VCR and select the A/V channel on your TV.
8. Reconnect the mini jack plugs (7) & (8), plug the mains adapter (3) into a wall socket and switch the device on.
1. Installatie
U kunt deze camera aansluiten op de SCART plug van een standaard TV of VCR. Lees de handleiding van uw TV of
VCR om te weten hoe u moet afstemmen op het A/V kanaal. Sluit het toestel aan op uw VCR om bandopnames te
maken. De camera is uitgerust met een ingebouwde microfoon en kan zowel binnen als buiten (op een
afgeschermde plaats) worden gemonteerd. Ideaal als babymonitor en als bewakingstoestel voor uw huis, auto...
