During this operation, activate compressor crankcase heaters (check the correct oil level of the
compressor in advance)

Refrigerant charge

Only load the installation with R290 pure propane. The coolant charge will preferably be carried out in the
liquid phase. The preload will be carried out on the liquid and tank piping (arrow on diagram). The
additional charge will be made on the suction pipe in the gas phase, until the nominal operating mode of
the installation (installation in operation) is reached. Never start the compressor if the vacuum is not
broken in HP and BP and ensure that the compressor housing is under pressure. To do this, it is
recommended to load the refrigeration circuit slowly.
Checks before starting (not exhaustive):
1. Compatibility of the power supply with the chiller.
2. Checking and if necessary retightening of all electric connections (screw terminal,
sockets, etc...)
3. Presence and calibration of bodies with operational test (circuit command)
4. Total opening of the service valves.
5. Operation of the crankcase heater or heating belt. This will avoid potential problems
following a non-appropriate oil viscosity
6. Free rotation of the propeller of the condenser fans.
7. Rotation of fan and pump motors test.
8. Inspection of the facility to meet any abnormalities.
Checks after start up (not exhaustive)
After a few hours of operation, carry out checks on the operation of the chiller:
1. The water temperature setpoint.
2. Direction of rotation of the water pump.
