1. DESCRIPTION
The power supply unit is suitable for supplying LEDs and is intended for DIN rail mounting. The output voltage
of 24V DC is stable within a narrow tolerance range, produces very little ripple and is highly efficient. The output
voltage range is adjustable (see technical data).
The total connected load may not exceed 25W (340-00021), 50W (340-00022) or 100W (340-00023). A green
LED on the unit indicates that the power supply has been correctly connected and that 24V DC is available.
The unit has a switch-on current limiter. It is protected against overload, overvoltage, overheating and short
circuit.
De unit complies with safety standards (EN60950-1) and EMC standards (EN55011; EN55022 Class B; EN55024;
EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-3).
2. FITTING AND CONNECTIONS
The DIN rail power supply unit has two outputs to which LEDs can be connected.
The unit has a width of 4.5E (25W and 50W version) or 6E (100W version) and can be installed in a DIN rail box.
The load must be connected between the '+' and '-' terminals (see fig. 1).

When all the connections have been correctly made and the power supply is switched on, the green LED lights
up.
Installation advice:
- If you install several modules next to one another, provide a gap between them of at least 1 module using
modified blanking plates.
- The unit should ideally be installed at the bottom of the distribution box.
- Check the temperature. If the temperature in the distribution box becomes too high (max. 35°C), provide
additional ventilation to guarantee an optimum life span. Ensure the heat can be dissipated effectively from
the top of the board. If necessary, fit a fan.
- In case of higher temperatures, use the following output graphs (fig. 2a, 2b and 2c).

4. LEGAL WARNINGS
- The installation has to be carried out by a registered installer and in compliance with the statutory regula-
tions.
- This user manual has to be handed over to the user. It has to be included in the electrical installation file and
has to be passed on to any new owners. Additional copies are available on the Niko website or via the support
service.
- During installation, the following has to be taken into account (not limited to list below):
- The statutory laws, standards and regulations;
- The state of the art technique at the moment of installation;
- This user manual, which must be read within the scope of each specific installation, only states general
regulations;
- The rules of proper workmanship

In case of a defect, you can return your product to a registered Niko wholesaler, together with a clear description
of your complaint (Conditions of use, stated defect...).
5. GUARANTEE PROVISIONS
- Period of guarantee: 2 years from date of delivery. The delivery date is the invoice date of purchase of the
product by the consumer. If there is no invoice, the date of production applies.
- The consumer is obliged to inform Niko in writing about the defect, within two months after stating the
defect.
- In case of a failure to conform, the consumer has the right to a repair or replacement (decided by Niko) free
of charge.
- Niko cannot be held liable for a defect or damage as a result of an incorrect installation, improper or careless
use or wrong usage or transformation of the goods.
- The compulsory regulations of the national legislation concerning the sales of consumer goods and the protection
of the consumers in the countries where Niko sells, directly or via sister or daughter companies, chain stores,
distributors, agents or permanent sales representatives, take priority over the rules and regulations mentioned
above.
