The AUTO

the current heat demand issued by the heating system.
As the performance is adjusted gradually over a pro-
longed period, it is recommended to maintain the AUTO
pump setting for at least a week before it is changed.

The pump saves the last setpoint in AUTO

start again with this value and continue to automatically
adjust the level of performance.
Changing from the recommended to the alternative
pump setting
Heating systems respond slowly to changes, therefore an
optimum pump setting cannot be produced within a few
minutes or hours. If the desired heat output is not pro-
duced in the individual rooms of the house at the recom-
mended pump setting, change to the alternative pump
setting.
Pump control
During operation the pump group is controlled in accor-
dance with the principle of „proportional pressure control
(PP)" or „constant pressure control (CP)".
These control types are used to adjust the pump perfor-
mance and thus the power consumption of the pump to
the heat demand issued by the system.
Proportional pressure control
This control type regulates the differential pressure over
the pump depending on the flow rate. The proportional
pressure curves are indicated by PP1 and PP2 in the Q/H
diagram.
