Function of the gravity brakes
To prevent incorrect circulation in the heating circuit,
gravity brakes are integrated into the return flow line in
the ball valve and in the mixer. Actuation is through di-
agonal positioning of the return flow ball valve [1] and by
turning the spindle.
Operating position
In the operating position, the valve disc must not be
cracked open. The slot is horizontal. The gravity brake is
closed.
Drainage
To fill and drain the heating system, the
valve disc of the gravity brake must be cracked open.
The slot is vertical. The gravity brake is cracked open.
Bypass valve
The bypass valve is completely closed as supplied.
Through the adjusting screw of the bypass valve, the
desired constant volume flow from the heater return flow
can be set. Constant volume flow means that – regardless
of the position of the heating circuit mixer – a defined
volume stream is always added to the heating circuit
forward flow from the heater return flow (via the bypass).
