Troubleshooting
Problems with the fence
The fence voltage is below 4 kV (the voltage required to control animals).
Fence faulty?
1 Check the energizer using the Smartphone app or the fence using a Fence Remote
with Fault Finder, a Fault Finder or a Digital Voltmeter.
2 Use cut-out switches to turn off the power to different sections of the fence. If the
voltage on the fence increases when a section is turned off, investigate that
section for possible faults.
3 Fix fault(s), as required.
Earth system faulty?
Visit the website (see energizer packaging for details) for advice on installing and
maintaining an effective earth system.
Energizer faulty?
1 Check that the energizer is on.
2 Disconnect the fence wire from the energizer's fence output terminal.
3 Measure the voltage across the energizer terminals using a Fence Remote with
Fault Finder, a Fault Finder, or a Digital Voltmeter.
If the energizer voltage is less than 6 kV, it may require servicing.
