Straightening your hair
1.
Plug the appliance into any 120 AC / 220V outlet.
2. Turn on the appliance.
•
The power-on light goes on.
•
The appliance starts to heat up. The appliance is ready for use within 30 seconds.
•
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in and switched on.
Tip : If you closing the plates, the straightener heats up more quickly.
3. Turn the temperature adjustment wheel to the preferred temperature setting (130°C to 230°C). (Fig.2)
•
Select a low temperature setting when you use the straightener for the first time.
•
For coarse, curly or hard-to-straighten hair, select a medium to high setting(170°C to 230°C).
•
For fine, medium-textured or softly waved hair, select a medium to low setting (130°C to 170°C).
Take extra care with pale, blonde, bleached or color-treated hair. It is susceptible to damage at high temperatures.
4. Comb or brush your hair so that it is disentangled and smooth. (Fig.3)
Use a comb to divide the hair into sections. Do not put too much hair in one section.
Note: It is better to section off the crown area and to straighten the hair underneath first. Then straighten the top area.
5. Take a section of hair that is not wider than 2 in. Place it between the straightening plates and press the handles of the appliance firmly together.
6. Slide the straightener down the length of the hair in 5 seconds, from root to hair end without stopping to prevent overheating (Fig.4).
7.
Repeat this process after 20 seconds until you have achieved the desired look.
8. Let your hair cool down. Do not comb or brush it before it has cooled down, as this would ruin the hairstyle you have just created.
