8. Disposal
a) General information
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end-user, you are legally obliged (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. Disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with
the following symbols, they point out that they are not allowed to be disposed of in
the domestic refuse. The designations for the decisive heavy metals are: Cd =
cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can return spent batteries, rechargeable batteries and button cells free of
charge to any authorised disposal station in your area, in our stores or in any other
store where batteries/rechargeable batteries/button cells are sold.
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
9. Notes on the Range
Range and faults
• The radio controlled panic switch works in the 433MHz range which is also used by other radio
services. This is why there may be a restrictive operation and range due to devices that work
on the same or a neighbouring frequency.
• The specified range (up to 100 m) is the so-called free field range, i.e. the range within visible
contact between the transmitter and receiver. However, in real-life operation, there are ceilings,
walls, garages or adjoining buildings between the transmitter and receiver, which affect and
reduce the range accordingly.
• The actual attainable distance between transmitter and receiver in normal operation is heavily
dependent on installation site and environment. Normally, proper operation of all components
without problems with radio reception should be possible in e.g. a detached house.
