2.9 Fault alarms

In the event of a fault occurring in the heater, the steam generator or any of the accessories (control panel, temperatu-
re sensor, etc.), this will be signalled by the LED indicator light on the contact panel (D). The on indicator light will turn
red and flash. In addition, the LED for field (D) will be on or flash indicating the location of the fault.
A LED indicator light that is continuously lit in field (D) indicates a fault alarm on fault list 1–10.
A flashing light indicates a fault alarm on fault list 11–20.
Fault list (ones marked with – are not in use):
1
Temperature sensor not connected or it is faulty
2
Faulty NTC in steam generator's water tank
3
Heater circuit board overheated
4
One or more relay broken
5
Steam generator's water tank has been overfilled
6
Heater circuit board and the control panel are disconnected
7
Temperature sensor/humidity sensor disconnected
8
Steam generator's water tank is overheated
9
Clock disconnected
10 Power supply to clock disconnected
11 An error occurred while emptying the steam generator's water tank
12 An error occurred while measuring the water levelin the steam generator's water tank
13 Humidity sensor broken
14 Temperature sensor broken
15 Problem with device connection
16 Overheat limiter tripped in the sensor
17 Too many humidity sensors connected
18 Too many temperature sensors connected
19 Sauna door left open for longer than 5 minutes (requires an installed door switch)
20 Door opened after 60 seconds passed since timer setup
In certain fault situations, the power supply to the heater or the steam generator can be switched off and on again. This
may resolve the issue if the fault is in the connections between devices.
Fault number 3 will cause the heater or the steam generator to stop automatically. Once the temperature has gone
down, the heater or the steam generator can be switched on again. It is imperative that the cause for the overheating is
determined. The reason may be inadequate ventilation, for example.
If the fault lies somewhere else, or if it is not resolved by these measures, contact the retailer or an authorised Helo
service facility. Check the heater or the steam generator type plate for the type, serial number and production number,
and the control panel for the potential fault code. This will help and speed up troubleshooting and repair.
