Positioning aid for head fixation in the CT
head holder
Short-term patient positioning and stabiliza-
tion device during invasive and non-invasive
procedures to be used on intact patient's
skin. Non-Sterile and not to be used in the
sterile field.
Version A (without inclination wedge): Put
the cleaned CT HeadFix into the head
holder and secure it using the side straps.
Version B (with inclination wedge): First
put the inclination wedge into the head
holder. Then put the cleaned CT HeadFix
into the head holder and secure it with the
side straps.
The head is placed into the head holder
and positioned to prepare for measure-
ment. A hygiene barrier (e.g. a head cover)
must always be used for hygienic reasons
and to protect the patient.
Inflate the CT HeadFix until the required
immobilization is achieved. Do not over-
inflate. The pressure applied must be
adjusted individually to the patient's condi-
tion by qualified personnel. If required,
close the hose clamp to prevent the
exchange of air between the two air cham-
bers.
Once the examination is complete (see
the device manufacturer's instructions for
use), undo the hose clamp, if necessary
and deflate the CT HeadFix by pressing the
valve on the hand pump.
Dispose of used hygiene barriers and
wipe the CT HeadFix with any regular disin-
fectant. Do not immerse the CT HeadFix in
cleaning fluid.
Contraindications: Do not use the product with
children below the age of 3. Do not use the product
for purposes other than those described.
Non sterile.
Do not sterilize. A hygiene barrier (mechani-
cal barrier) must always be used. Do not
inflate with compressed air. The pressure
applied must be adjusted individually to
the patient's condition by qualified person-
nel.Caution: Federal law restricts this
device to sale by or on the order of a
licensed healthcare professional (Rx only).

Lagerungshilfe zur Kopffixierung in der CT
Kopfschale
Kurzzeitige Patientenpositionierung und
-stabilisierung während invasiver und
nichtinvasiver Verfahren zur Anwendung auf
der intakten Haut. Nicht steril und nicht im
sterilen Bereich zu verwenden.
Variante A (ohne Inklinationskeil): Das
gereinigte CT HeadFix in die Kopfschale
legen und mit Hilfe der Seitenschlaufen an
der Kopfschale befestigen.
Variante B (mit Inklinationskeil): Den Inkli-
nationskeil zuerst in die Kopfschale setzen.
Anschliessend das gereinigte CT HeadFix
in die Kopfschale legen und mit Hilfe der
Seitenschlaufen an der Kopfschale befesti-
gen.
Zur Vorbereitung der Messung wird der
Kopf in die Kopfschale gelegt und positio-
niert. Aus hygienischen Gründen und zum
Schutz des Patienten ist immer eine Hygie-
nebarriere (z.B. Kopfhaube) zu verwenden.
CT HeadFix aufpumpen, bis gewünschte
Fixierung erreicht ist. Nicht zu stark auf-
pumpen. Der angewendete Druck muss
vom Fachpersonal dem Zustand des Pati-
enten individuell angepasst werden. Falls
erwünscht Schlauchklemme schliessen, um
den Luftaustausch zwischen den beiden
Luftkammern zu unterbinden.
Nach erfolgter Messung (Gebrauchsan-
weisung des Geräteherstellers beachten)
gegebenenfalls Schlauchklemme lösen
und durch Drücken des Ventils an der
Handpumpe Luft aus dem CT HeadFix
ablassen.
Gebrauchte Hygienebarriere entsorgen
und das CT HeadFix mit herkömmlichem
Desinfektionsmittel abwischen. Das CT
HeadFix nicht in Reinigungsflüssigkeit ein-
tauchen.
Kontraindikationen: Produkt nicht bei Kindern unter
3 Jahren anwenden. Produkt nicht für andere Ver-
fahren, als die in der Zweckbestimmung beschrie-
benen, verwenden.
Nicht steril.
Nicht sterilisieren. Es ist immer eine Hygiene-
barriere (mechanische Barriere) zu verwen-
den. Nicht mit Druckluft aufblasen. Der ange-
wendete Druck muss vom Fachpersonal dem
Zustand des Patienten individuell angepasst
werden.
