TROUBLESHOOTING
Have a qualified technician service the tool.
Problem(s)
Jack will not bend pipe
or pump stroke feels
spongy.
Handle moves up when
the jack is under load.
Oil is leaking from the
filler plug.
Oil leaking from the
end of the ram.
Oil leaking from the
release valve.
Die
is
cracked
or
damaged.

Possible Cause(s)

1. Release valve may be open.
2. Blocked release valve cannot
fully close.
3. Jack may be low on oil.
4. Jack may require bleeding.
Blocked release valve cannot fully
close.
The jack may have too much
hydraulic oil inside.
The seal rings are damaged.
The inner pressure ring is loose or
damaged.
1. Load on the die is one sided
due to stuck roller.
2. Previously
bent
pipe
inserted into die, but is
misaligned, causing a one-
sided load.
Suggested Solution(s)
1. Check that the release valve is closed fully.
2. See Flushing The Valve.
3. Check the oil level and refill if needed.
4. See Bleeding The Hydraulic System.

Check the hydraulic oil level and adjust if needed.
Replace the seal rings.
Dismantle the limit screw and release valve.
Tighten the pressure ring.
1. Check if the positions of the two rollers are
the same. Put some oil to the touching
is
surfaces of rollers and the pipe.
2. Check the pipe's alignment before applying
pressure.
