EXTERNAL LI-ION BATTERY PACK
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS TO BE FOLLOWED RELATING
TO THE BATTERY
Warning
• If used incorrectly, the battery may lead to overheating, fire or explosion and can cause
serious, and even fatal, injuries.
• Do not recharge the battery while maintenance work (e.g. cleaning windows) is being carried
out nearby.
• Ensure you comply with the recharging instructions. The optimum recharging temperature
is between 0 and 45°C.
• Do not disassemble or alter the battery.
• If used with a motor, you must also read the instructions relating to the motor.
• Do not use or install this product outdoors.
• Do not knock or drop the product, expose it to flammable materials or sources of heat or
moisture, or splash or immerse it.
• Keep batteries (new and used) and the product out of the reach of children. If the battery
compartment no longer closes, do not use the product.
• Do not expose the battery to high temperatures (>60°C) or flames.
• Risk of explosion, leaking of liquid or flammable gases from the battery if it is kept at a high
temperature (hot oven, fire), crushed, cut, or subjected to extremely low air pressure.
Attention
• Protect the battery against any blow or impact (e.g. falling from a high place).
• If the battery must be replaced, always use Somfy spare parts.
2. INSTALLATION
Refer to the motorisation instructions.
Attention
• These instructions are mandatory for the motorisation and home automation professional
installing the battery.
• To recharge the battery, use the charger recommended by Somfy.
• The regulations relating to air transport require that batteries not be charged to more than 30%
of their capacity.
• Make sure you recharge the battery completely before commissioning.

3. MAINTENANCE
RECYCLING THE BATTERY AND ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
Place the battery and electrical components in the specially provided containers or entrust to an
authorized organization that will ensure they are recycled.
Comply will the local regulations in force concerning the disposal of batteries.
