Instructions for a correct
assembly in the pre-dive phase
We advise following the instructions below in
order to avoid unpleasant inconveniences
during the various phases of diving.
The first step is that of positioning the
stabilizing jacket on the tank. Position the
tank in front of yourself with the outlet valve
facing you.
Position the backpack on the tank, keeping
the rear of the backpack in front of the outlet
valve. Tighten the straps on the tank and
close the special buckles; lock the straps
excess by using the special strips of Velcro.
Attention!
By tightening the belt on the tank while dry you
will notice a loosening of the tension when
diving with a consequential slipping of the tank.
We therefore recommend wetting the straps
before carrying out this operation!
The transport handle on the backpack of the
PRO 2000 Adv must be placed on the neck of
the valves (Drawing 16) as an extra safety
measure to prevent the tank from slipping if the
connection straps should not hold properly.

Correct position of the handle
Attention!
The transport handle supplied on the PRO 2000
Adv jacket is only for transporting the stabilizing
jacket on the surface and without the tank or as
an extra anti-slip safety measure once the jacket
has been assembled onto the tank itself. The
transport handle must never, under any
conditions, be used as a means of lifting the
assembled SCUBA gear.
At this point, put on the stabilizing jacket and,
maintaining an erect position, try to lower the
nape of your neck backwards: if the position
is correct, you should have no problem
carrying out this operation. At the same time,
check that the base of the tank does not
move too far downwards, disturbing your
movements. We advise you to mark a fixed
reference point on the tank- for example, a
strip of adhesive tape or painted line - so that
you can always reassemble your stabilizing
jacket in the correct position. This procedure
may seem excessive, but it will guarantee the
correct use of the stabilizing jacket for all
future dives. Remember that the locking
system is designed to be assembled onto any
single cylinder with no additional accessories
required.
Attention!
These special straps guarantee that the
stabilizing jacket will accommodate any single
cylinder with a minimum diameter of 140 mm
and a maximum of 220 mm (18 litre steel tank).
Attention!
If you use the stabilizing jacket with a twin
cylinder assembly, you must apply the
supplementary kit. S103006 See Drawing 17.
