Install FI internal temperature sensor with excess temperature fuse

Figure 4 6
The FI temperature sensor with an excess temperature fuse is installed in the sauna cabin approximately 15 cm
below the ceiling, above and in the centre of the heating system or in accordance with the cabin manufacturer's
instructions. The FI sensor may only be connected with the enclosed connection cable which is
temperature-resistant up to 150 °C.
Outside of the sauna cabin, the temperature-resistant connection cable can be extended with commercially
available cables. The heater temperature or bench temperature sensors may not be exposed to direct air currents.
The control unit must be situated outside of the sauna.
CAUTION – Double insulation necessary:
The sensor cables must be installed separately from other network and control cables. Cables with single
insulation must be protected by a pipe (double insulation).
1. Install 2 x 2 pole cable 5 at the installation site of the F I sensor 4 in the cabin wall and fix with cable collars.
2. Pull apart two half shells 1 of the F I sensor and connect four connections of the temperature-resistant
connection cable in accordance with the circuit diagram.
3. Insert round connection plate 2 with the connections crosswise into the half shells 1, close half shells 1 and
screw with the two cross-head screws 3 length 9 mm.Verify secure sealing of the FI sensor.
4. Proceed with tests in accordance with Chapter 6, 'Tests'.
5. Screw FI sensor 4 onto the cabin wall with two wooden screws in alignment with the middle of the heater at
a distance of 15 cm from the ceiling or as specified by the cabin manufacturer.

Inspections

The inspections must be executed by an approved electrical installer.
WARNING – Electric shock:
The following inspections are executed with the power supply switched on.
1. Check the earth terminal contacting.
2. Check the safety shutdown with disrupted connection to the temperature sensor / fuse:
- The cable must be loosened on the sensor, the sensor cable is thus incorporated into the inspection.
- The heating system must switch off autonomously when the white and red sensor cables are loosened.
3. Checking of phase interconnection L1, L2, L3 to u,v,w.
WE DO IT FIRST.
