IN BED THORACIC SUPPORT
The in-bed thoracic support system is recommended for all persons
requiring postural support of the torso while seated in a Fowler position,
with the head of the bed elevated up to 90 degrees.
COMPONENTS
Wrap around fabric with velcro: Four horizontal velcro strips are affixed to
the fabric band to allow easy positioning of the lateral thoracic supports.
Velcro "loop" strips, placed at the ends of the fabric band, secure the support
system to the bed frame with the use of self-adhesive Velcro "hook" strips.
Lateral thoracic supports: Made with a polyurethane based foam to provide
firm support, each thoracic support comes with a zippered cover.
Wrap around fabric and covers are made with a fluid-proof T-Jersey fabric.
Wrap around fabric is 57.5-inches long (146 cm) and 17-inches wide (43 cm).
Horizontal velcro strips are 24-inches long (61.9 cm) and 2-inches wide (5cm).
Note: This system was developed for use with single beds.
