the tool.
3. Place the body of the chain tool on the U-shaped bracket, and
align the U-shaped bracket with position A.
4. Turn the pin holder by hand until the breaking and riveting pin
touches the chain rivet and ensure that the breaking pin is
positioned in the centre of the rivet.
5. Hold the tool with a size 27 box end wrench and press the rivet
out by turning the pin holder clockwise using a size 19 box end
wrench.
In order to avoid putting unnecessary strain on the tool,
particularly the breaking pin, we recommend fi rst using an
angle grinder to grind off the front pin head of the chain
link which is to be removed. This means that less force is
required when pressing out and breaking, and the riveting
pin will be subject to less wear.

positioned in front of the pin heads of the connecting link of the
chain coupling.
3. Place the breaking and riveting pin into the body of the chain tool
and place the plate holder on the pin. Insert the connecting link
plate of the chain coupling into the plate holder.
4. Place the body of the chain tool on the U-shaped bracket, and

chain coupling must sit in the holes of the U-shaped bracket.
5. Turn the pin holder by hand until the breaking and riveting pin,
together with the connecting link plate holder, touches the middle

8. Check that the connecting link plate was correctly pressed on and
that the O/X-rings have remained in the correct position. The ends
